Just-in-time (JIT) access is a method for granting temporary access, while zero standing privileges (ZSP) is the broader operating model of minimizing persistent privilege.
An organization can use JIT elevation, short-lived credentials and automatic expiry to implement ZSP. Not every JIT process achieves ZSP if broad privilege remains permanently assigned, and ZSP still requires eligibility, policy, approval, logging, exception handling and reliable revocation.
