Account Aggregation is the collection of accounts, entitlements, groups and selected activity data from target systems into an IGA repository. Aggregation may use APIs, SCIM, database connectors, files or other integration methods.
Frequent, reliable aggregation gives IGA an up-to-date view of actual access. It is different from provisioning: aggregation reads target-system state, while provisioning changes it.
