A digital identity is a representation of a person, organization, device, application, service or workload in an information system. It consists of identifiers and attributes used to distinguish the subject and support authentication, authorization and governance.
One real-world person may have multiple accounts but should normally have one correlated enterprise identity for governance. A digital identity is not the same thing as a password, key or token.
