Entitlement Owner

An entitlement owner is accountable for an access right's purpose, eligibility, risk, approvals and review policy.

An entitlement owner is the person or accountable business role responsible for defining an entitlement's purpose, eligibility, risk, approval requirements and review policy. The owner decides who should receive or retain the access, often with input from application and data owners.

Ownership should be explicit, current and reassigned automatically when the owner changes roles or leaves.
