Identity analytics is the analysis of identity, access, activity, peer, policy and risk data to identify patterns and improve governance decisions. Common use cases include detecting outliers, recommending access, prioritizing certifications, finding privilege accumulation and measuring control performance.
Analytics should be explainable and should support accountable decisions. A recommendation or risk score is not, by itself, proof that access is appropriate.
