Provisioning is the creation or modification of accounts, entitlements, roles and related identity data in target systems. It may be triggered by lifecycle policy, an approved request, an administrative action or an automated rule.
Reliable provisioning is policy-driven, idempotent where possible, monitored for errors and followed by reconciliation to confirm that the target state matches the approved state.
