A requestable role is a role published in an access catalog so eligible users can request it through a governed workflow. Its catalog entry should explain the business purpose, included access, owner, risk, eligibility, approvals, duration and review rules.
Not every role should be requestable; birthright, technical and highly privileged roles may require automated assignment or specialized workflows.
