Resource Owner

A resource owner is accountable for the acceptable use, protection and access requirements of a system, application or dataset.

A resource owner is the person or accountable business role responsible for the acceptable use and protection of an application, system, dataset or other resource. The owner defines or approves access requirements and governance rules.

In some organizations, application owner, data owner and entitlement owner are separate responsibilities. IGA should represent these distinctions to route decisions correctly.
